My latest and current position is for the Olympic Broadcasting Services company.
Acting as a Technical Product Owner and a Product Manager for several departments, where the planning, organization and execution of the broadcasting of the Olympic and Paralympic games takes place.
Working in a fast-paced environment where critical decisions need to be made and that will affect in the end to thousands of people that will work as the host broadcast.
As a Product Manager, we face the pressure on heavy deadlines (of course the main goal is to achieve the Olympic event with success and no errors), but the different projects and needs of all the departments that comprised the company and rely on tailor-made crafted software specifically for their needs. Most of the tools and programs needed either doesn’t exist or the software lack of the capilities to execute such a vast event.
Among other things I have:
- Manage the backlog of 5 projects with two teams of 3 engineers, 2 QA and one designer each.
- Successfully implemented an application that manages the pool of cars and requests for more than 1500 users and 12000 rides.
- Established agile processes in the information department and migrated the tools to improve SLA uptime to 99.95% from the previous 85%.
- Participated in the live support operation for Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic and Beijing 2022 Olympic and Paralympic games.
